DUX "TEES UP" TO HELP RAISE $50K FOR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
DONATED SPRAY EQUIPMENT WILL INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY AND LOWER COSTS
May 22, 2006 - Seattle, WA - DUX Area, the makers of technologically-advanced paint spray equipment, stepped up as a Title Sponsor of this year's HTLC Golf Tournament at Redmond's Bear Creek Country Club which raised more than $50,000 to support East King County's Habitat for Humanity.
"A cornerstone of the DUX philosophy is to give back to the communities in which we do business," said DUX CEO Kevin Kelley. "We were very pleased to donate both cash and DUX spray equipment worth $10,000 for this important fundraiser and were delighted to hear the funds raised from the tournament exceeded the goals."
The profits from the tournament go to support Habitat for Humanity of East King County which works to "lay a foundation for a stronger community by working with people who are dedicated to building a better life for themselves." Since its inception in 1988, this Habitat for Humanity affiliate has built 60 homes and serves an area from Issaquah to Bothell and East to North Bend.
The donated DUX spray equipment will help lower Habitat for Humanity's costs and time required for each new home built by replacing brushes and rollers with its easy-to-use spray guns. By incorporating the DUX technology into each construction project, less time, paint, and human labor will be required to complete the painting process, ultimately using the professionals' and volunteers' time more effectively throughout the entire project.
"Our hopes are that by using DUX's highly-efficient spray guns and equipment to paint new home projects, Habitat for Humanity can simultaneously increase productivity and quality while lowering costs and reducing waste on each project," Kelley said.
About DUX Area
Headquartered in Seattle, DUX Area Inc. has invested more than 5 years of research and development into reinventing the spray gun from the inside out. By incorporating patented air passage technology originally used in Formula Three race car engines, they've developed the most innovative breakthrough in spray gun technology in nearly 80 years, effectively changing the spray gun industry forever.
The DUX spray gun is lighter, more ergonomic, and easier to use than conventional or HVLP spray guns and offers far more control and precise delivery than airless spray guns. DUX customers routinely save between 15-40% in coatings usage alone, with the spray gun often paying for itself after just one job. Its precision application also reduces the need for masking and containment, decreasing labor time as well as preparation and clean-up costs.
