DUX Executives Join other Business Leaders in "Initiative for Global Development" - President Bush addresses group
DUX CEO Kevin Kelley and Chairman of the Board Jim Rice, joined other high-level American business leaders who heard from President Bush on their action plan to reduce extreme global poverty. "DUX is committed to being a good corporate citizen and indeed, in a world where 1.1 billion people are living on less than a dollar a day, we have to be concerned and step forward to take action" said Kevin Kelley. Kelley and Rice joined in this first-ever National Summit held by the Initiative for Global Development to chart the public/private sector role in global poverty elimination. They heard from former secretaries of state Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell, President Bush and others, marking the first time America's foremost business executives, civic leaders, and policy experts have gathered to demand greater U.S. engagement to address this most urgent issue.
